Booking Fulfillment & Ticket Delivery Policy

Last updated:

Makemystrip provides flight booking assistance and communicates booking documents electronically. This policy explains what to check at each stage, from a quotation to an issued ticket or supplier confirmation. A completed form or booking reference alone does not establish that travel is ready.

The document and status needed depend on the selected provider. Keep the itinerary, payment record, ticket details, and fare conditions. Contact our team promptly when a document is missing, incorrect, or different from what you authorized.

1. The usual booking sequence

  1. Provide your route, dates, passenger information, and travel preferences.
  2. Review the proposed flights, complete cost, fare restrictions, and separately stated assistance charge, if any.
  3. Authorize only the itinerary and amount you intend to purchase.
  4. Check the processing status and any information still required.
  5. Review the issued travel document and receipt, and report discrepancies promptly.

2. A request, reference, and ticket are different

A search identifies possible flights. A booking request asks for processing. A reservation reference identifies a record and may be generated while payment or ticketing remains pending. None should be assumed to have the same meaning.

For a ticketed itinerary, check the ticket number and issued status. For a ticketless provider, check the applicable confirmed travel record. A payment acknowledgement can arrive before the travel document; ask for clarification if you cannot establish the status.

3. Delivery and checking your documents

Use an accessible email address and review the relevant inbox and spam folder. Documents may include a receipt, itinerary, reservation reference, ticket information, and conditions for the purchased service. Ask for a missing item rather than assuming every message is the final confirmation.

Compare passenger names, airports, departure and arrival dates, connections, cabin, and charges against what you approved. Local times, overnight travel, and time-zone differences can affect arrival dates. Retain the most recent confirmed itinerary and any exchange record.

4. Why a request may be pending

Billing verification, incomplete passenger details, inventory changes, provider review, and technical problems can prevent immediate completion. A special request may also need a separate confirmation even when the ticket is issued.

Ask what is outstanding, whether payment was authorized or collected, and whether your approval of an alternative is needed. A pending request is not permission to charge a higher amount automatically. Do not repeat a payment while the first transaction is unclear.

5. If an email or ticket is missing

Make an approaching departure clear in your inquiry. For check-in or immediate travel-readiness instructions, contact the operating carrier. A sent inquiry does not itself create an issued ticket or extend a deadline.

  1. Verify the email address supplied and check spam or junk folders.
  2. Review any available account record and its actual booking status.
  3. Contact us with the booking reference, passenger name, expected travel dates, and a description of the missing item.
  4. Ask whether the ticket is issued, whether a charge was collected, and what needs to happen next.

6. Paid extras and changes after issuance

A paid seat, baggage purchase, or other extra may have its own provider record. Obtain the relevant confirmation and check it against your request. A recorded preference or assistance request is not an unconditional delivery promise.

Airlines may change schedules after issuance. Monitor the contact channels used for the booking and confirm current operational details with the carrier. Exchanges and corrections may result in new documents; editing a saved itinerary yourself does not change the booking.

7. Services that cannot be completed

If an authorized request cannot be fulfilled, review the actual status, collected amounts, and any alternative before deciding what to do. Any remedy for an unissued ticket or undelivered paid service is considered under the agreed conditions and applicable law.

A separate assistance fee must relate to the service disclosed before payment. Supplier involvement does not remove a duty that applies to the agency. The cancellation and refund pages explain payment responsibility and how to follow up.
